Review For Alamana Wilderness Camp

We had such a wonderful time at this camp! The tents are private, spacious, clean and very comfortable, and the dining room/main tent was a perfect place to relax - with a great selection of books! Also, I didn’t expect a camp kitchen in the bush to be able to produce such a wide variety of delicious meals – top notch. The bucket shower and drop toilet were easy to manage, and the ‘real’ sink made it feel more like a small cottage than a tent! The camp staff was extremely warm and welcoming; they went above and beyond to provide every comfort. The whole experience felt remote and intimate, with the tents set apart in relative seclusion for extra privacy. Aside from the members of our own group, we didn’t see another vehicle or visitor – not one – during our 3 days here. It was so peaceful! Also, the activity options are great; it was a real treat to be able to explore on foot with a bush walk, under the protection and guidance of John Masai, and I was thrilled to have an opportunity to visit a Masai village. We loved this camp – we didn’t want to leave!
