We spent one night at Loisaba Lodge and one night at the Star Beds - highly recommend staying at both as they are very different experiences. The Lodge is very high-end with all the comforts of home, whereas the Star Beds are much more rustic - both are awesome. The terrain there is very hilly - both are well situated on high spots offering expansive views. Using horses as transport from one place to another is a great way to go and we had a nice hike along the river that ended with a bush breakfast. It was awesome to be lying in bed at the Star Beds and see the stars (plus the Milky Way!) and then have the full moon come up. In the morning, have coffee/tea delivered in your bed as the sun comes up makes you feel like royalty. A unique experience there was doing a native dance with the staff - this felt very genuine ... and man, could they jump high! We did get a chance to see the private home which has some unique touches in the various rooms - this would be a great secluded retreat for a large group.
