I love Leleshwa. Spot on the most authentic camp in the area. My tent was luxurious without being highfalutin and the food was outstanding (loved the steak on the open fire!). The camp has this perfect, laid back, free spirited way about it. One afternoon we had a spear throwing contest with some of the Maasai at camp - I will never forget it. Some other highlights of my stay at Leleshwa include a bush walk in the rain with a journey of giraffe, a gnarly river crossing, amazing sundowners out in the bush with great cocktails and apps, and star gazing and cigars around the campfire after dinner. One morning my grumbling stomach reminded me that our game drive was lasting longer than normal. No sooner had I put my camera back in its bag, and we pulled up under this giant tree and the sweet, sweet smell of bacon and pancakes and eggs grabbed me and led me to a full breakfast spread in the middle of nowhere!
